In a stairway in Odense Concert Hall the structure of the building continues without interruption. Concrete, light, and repetitions organise the movement going through the space. A space one passes through rather than stays in.

Soft Plug works within what is already there.

In the already existing tie holes, silicone plugs are inserted, becoming small deviations in an otherwise consistent rhythm. From a distance, they look like technical corrections. Close up, the material reveals itself: soft, matte, bodily. The colours oscillate between delicate rose and synthetic pink and align closely with the palette of the body.

The intervention is minimal, but insistent. As if the building has been perforated and now is being partially sutured again. Like a damping. An earplug for the structure.

An scent circulates in the space — wet dirt, concrete, something floral. It blends with the existing scent, not as an addition, but as an intensification.

The stairway is a space without an audience, reserved for those working in the building. Here, this artwork gathers what usually goes unnoticed. Remnants, movements, traces.
