Zuzanna Kozłowska,Seasonal hold’
PVC tarpaulin, programmable light, sound by Julek Płoski
2025

There are so many things we don’t know about the other people. What are they really doing on the other side of the window? Zuzanna Kozlowska has found a deserted and remote corner of the former gravel pit, only in use a couple of months a year by a riding club. Their club house has been transformed into a lighthouse, its light perhaps luring you in, as if you were a moth.

The light follows the rhythm of the day and is accompanied by a soundtrack, but one that only occasionally makes its presence known. That is how it is with secrets: consider yourself lucky if they are left in your care. Behind the window glass, things are not what they usually are. Tarpaulins are draped over furniture, binders, and boxes. The fabric now hangs like heavy, shapeless skin, protecting and concealing. Preserving stories and creating new ones. Letting the dust settle. Out here, on the other side of the glass, we, too, start spinning new fictions.
