GRADUATION 2026 marks the end of five years of artistic education and the beginning of a new, professional chapter in the lives of 13 artists: Cathlin Madeleine Beeck, Emma Bojsen, Kajsa Cello, Marie Hartmann Christensen, Jonathan Nørgaard Dahl, Thora Eliza, Caroline Sofie Have, Magnus Gitt Henderson, Amanda Brix Kolstrup, Zuzanna Kozłowska, Mari Skousen, Viljam Smed and Augusta Wolffbrandt.

The number 13 is often associated with the unpredictable — that which breaks with the system’s order. In GRADUATION 2026 it becomes a metaphor for a generation that steps into the world in a time marked by change, crises and new technological and social conditions.

The exhibition circles around what it means to be a human being today: vulnerable, relational and inextricably linked with other people, materials and contexts.

The works range widely in materials and forms of expression. Several of the graduands take the body and sensuous experience as a starting point, while others work with sound, digital processes and technological systems as ways to understand the world. Others again explore everyday materials, found objects and architectonic structures, and how these contribute to shaping our lives, relations and understanding of value.

At the same time, several of the works move between seriousness and play, where childhood idioms, fiction and participation lead to new ways of seeing and being in the world.

A recurring feature of GRADUATION 2026 is an attention to presence and co-existence — an exploration of how we are present with and for one another in a time when connections are both intensified and fragmented.

The exhibition has been curated by Rebekka Anker-Møller.
