Artist Talk with Jonas Kjeldgaard Sørensen

Jonas Kjeldgaard Sørensen (b. 1993), graduated from Funen Art Academy in 2018, works with performative storytelling at the intersection of science fiction, theatre, and performance. Since autumn 2021, the allegorical figure “The Weapons Grinder” has become Jonas’ artistic persona. Through masks, costumes, and performative universes, Kjeldgaard Sørensen explores contemporary brutality, fluid genealogy, and the collapse of masculinity – themes he will also address in his talk at the Academy.
The talk will take place in the Lecture Hall at Funen Art Academy on November 20, 16:00–17:30.
