That’s so O

The 3rd Year Exhibition 2026 of Funen Art Academy, Kunstbygningen Filosoffen
29 May – 17 June 2026

Opening reception: Friday, 29 May, 16:00–19:00

Funen Art Academy proudly presents this year’s 3rd Year Exhibition
“That’s so O” – a celebration of the completion of 15 students’ foundation course, now halfway through their education.

Join us on Friday, 29 May, as we invite you to the opening of the exhibition at Kunstbygningen Filosoffen to celebrate the collective fruits of their labor.

The art students work within a wide range of artistic outlets, and the exhibition allows the audience to discover this through a variety of techniques, thematic and material approaches;
investigations of painting’s conceptual and textural nature; text, video, sculpture, assemblages and ready-mades, all carefully and intentionally arranged.

Prepare to indulge in themes such as camp, ontology, the anthropocene and the semiotics of images, expressed in an array of sensory outputs from the artists’ hands, hearts and minds.

On the day of the opening there will be cold drinks, and cold soup will be served also.

The exhibiting 3rd year students are:
Carl Benny Robert, Emily Luna Gitt-Henderson, Frederik Bengtsson, Jo Norgreen, Ln Rye, Luis Oppel, Makena Wambui Ndoria Søndergaard, Mia Kokine Joensen, Mikkel Rohde Skovlunde, Nana Lohmann, Oliver Doré Kongstad, Sally Bernild, Silas Høegh, Sofia Constantino, Selma Elving

Welcome speech by visual artist and assistant teacher at the Anne Marie Carl-Nielsen Programme for Art in Public Space, Laurits Gulløv and FAA student Emily Luna Gitt-Henderson.
