Tue Greenfort new professor at Funen Art Academy

Funen Art Academy has employed Tue Greenfort as professor. With this employment, Funen Art Academy wishes to strengthen its international profile further and increase its focus on the young generation of artists, who in their practices debate current societal issues.

Tue Greenfort (born 1973) was trained as a visual artist at Funen Art Academy and Städelschule in Frankfurt. Taking a point of departure in sculpture and installation, Tue Greenfort has in later years especially focused on subjects such as nature, sustainability and the relationship between the natural sciences and art in his projects, which often take the shape of large-scale installations in exhibitions venues or public space.

In recent years, Tue Greenfort has had a very productive international career with shows at some of Europe’s most prestigious art institutions, such as Witte de With in Rotterdam, Ludwig Museum in Bidapest, Secession in Vienna, Bonniers Konsthall in Stockholm, etc. In Denmark, his works have most recently been on display at RETHINK Kakotopia at Nikolaj Kunsthal and Deep Green at Den Frie.

Tue Greenfort commences his professorship at Funen Art Academy on September 15, 2011.
