School Show 2015 / Fare Away from The Universal Studios

FARE AWAY FROM THE UNIVERSAL STUDIOS
2 – 7 June, 2015

First, second and fourth year students at Funen Art Academy have left their studios at the Academy and moved into an abandoned house in Gelsted, Funen. The house is known as Holmegaard and from 2-7 June 2015, it also goes by the name Fare Away from the Universal Studios, Funen Art Academy’s annual school show. The exhibition and the relocation are in progress, just like the students themselves and their work.

The title heads back to the student’s project- and exhibition space, FAA Project Room, where a flow of information and documentation from the house is continuously presented. The project room, which shares its address with the Academy, serves as one of the exhibition venues – but also as a pick-up point for visitors. Free transport between FAA Project Room and Holmegaard takes place twice each day. The motor cabin connects Holmegaard with the project room, and the excursion becomes a third room in the exhibition. Read more about departure times and booking at www.fareawayfromtheuniversalstudios.xyz

Screenings, shared meals, site-specific studies as well as a book launch are among the numerous events taking place during the exhibition period. Visit the website to see the full program.
